Arkansas State Police reported the crash happened at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, on State Highway 36/East Race Avenue in Searcy.

According to the preliminary fatal crash report, 24-year-old Wesley Walls II of Judsonia was eastbound on his 2022 Honda when a northbound 1997 Ford exited a private drive and Willis' struck the Ford.

ASP reported the Ford failed to yield to Walls’ motorcycle. Conditions were noted as "Clear" at the time of the accident.

Fatal motorcycle accidents are on the rise in Arkansas with fatal accidents increasing 23% over the past five years. State police say the increase in fatal motorcycle accidents reflects an increase in speeding and reckless driving on the state's roads. Often, the less-protected motorcyclists seem to be taking the brunt of the increase in reckless driving, even if they are following the law.
